Heartbeat VII: Proclaiming your Love!
After we realize that we are in love, we become overjoyed... We wish to run to a mountaintop, a balcony, or a rooftop.... what do we want to do next? We want to yell at the top of our lungs and profess our love to the Entire World! Something along the lines of "I LOVE YOU ~insert beloved's name here~!" We yell because there are strong feelings of infatuation but those feelings will wear out or become dull.
However, if we love the Divine Beloved, we can yell out a Name belonging to Vaheguru then become fulfilled and in a state of permanent joy!
Jaikaaray Gajaavey Nihaal Hojaavey!
Whoever roars this war cry will be in a state of bliss/fulfillment!
Sat Sreeee Akaaluh!
True is the Supreme Timeless Master!
What do we have to fear when we love? Who are we deceiving? Let us be honest with ourselves and love, wholeheartedly... then you will experience pure bliss.
The power of calling out for our Beloved? Guru Sahib teaches us well!
Naanak Prio[u] Prio[u] Jae Karee Maelae MaelaNhaar[u]
Dhan Dhan Guru Nanak Dev Sahib Ji:
If you call out for Our Beloved-Vaheguru then you will be able to unite with the Uniter-Vaheguru
Jin[i] Vichhorree So Maelsee Gur Kai Haeth[i] Apaar[i]
Whoever is separated from the Beloved will re-unite through having Infinite Love for Guru Sahib
[Dakhni Oankaar]
One of the First Jaikaaraa's:
When Dhan Dhan Guru Nanak Dev Sahib Ji Maharaj were travelling with Bhai Mardaanaa Ji in Baghdad, they started singing a pangkti from Japji Sahib:
ਪਾਤਾਲਾ ਪਾਤਾਲ ਲਖ ਆਗਾਸਾ ਆਗਾਸ ॥
Paathaalaa Paathaal Lakh, Aagaasaa Aagaas
There hundreds of thousands of netherworlds and hundreds of thousands of heavenly realms
Baghdad was heavily Muslim by population. When the Muslims of the area heard this, they went to Peer Dastigir to complain. They said that these Kaafirs (non-believers) should be stoned. This was because the Qur'an as revealed by Prophet Muhammad states that there are 7 levels of heaven and 7 levels of hell. They wanted to punish Guru Sahib but Guru Maharaj exclaimed:
"ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰ ਸਤਿ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਕਾਲਾ।
Nira[n]kaar Sath[i] Sree Akaalaa
"The Formless True Supreme Timeless Master!
Gurbar Eka[n]kaar Kripaalaa
Through Guru Sahib's Force, Ik-Oa[n]kaar [Vaheguru] has been Merciful!"
Sun[i] Kar[i] Baa[n]g Sarab nar naaree
Listening to this roar, all of the men and women...
Su[n]n Mu[n]n Hoae Ik Vaaree
... immediately became absolutely silent!
[Sri Nanak Prakaash, Utharaardhh, Adhiyaye 34]
Maharaj then spoke with Pir Dastigir who wanted proof of the 100,000s realms, so Maharaj took Pir Dastigir's Son to multiple realms and brought back Karraa Prashaad [Degh] from these realms. Maharaj had stated that Prophet Muhammad had only testified what was revealed to them [as they only witnessed 7 levels of heaven and 7 levels of hell].
The following is from the Twarikh Nihung Singhaa Translation available on our website under the '3 Divine-Beloveds' section:
"Kalgidhar Maharaj Ji have demonstrated the worship of Akaal Purakh themselves. This is an exemplary teaching given to Nihung Singhs. This is the reason why you will always hear chants of Akaal! Akaal! from the mouth of a Nihung Singh. Whoever repeats Akaal-Akaal in Praise of Vaheguru, they will be blessed in both worlds (Lok, this life & Parlok, afterlife):
ਲੋਕ ਸੁਖੀ ਪਰਲੋਕ ਖਲਾਸ ਅਕਾਲ ਅਕਾਲ ਅਕਾਲ ਕਰੈਂਗੇ||
Lok Sukhee Parlok Khalaas Akaal Akaal Akaal Karai[n]gae
[Sri Sarbloh Prakash Granth]"
At the time of physical death, many Khalsa warriors spoke this Jaikaaraa 'war cry' as their last words. For they physically left their body but only to permanently merge in Their Beloved.
May we not hesitate to proclaim our love! Say it loud and proud:
Sat Sreee Akaaal!
Roar the Jaikaaraa over and over to keep feeling the Love of Akaal Purakh!
Har[i] Kaa Maarag[u] Gur Sa[n]th[i] Bathaae[i]O Gur[i] Chaal Dhikhaaee Har[i] Chaal
Guru Sahib, the Saint, tell me about the Path to Vaheguru, Guru Sahib showed me the way to walk on Vaheguru's Path
A[n]thar[i] Kapat[u] Chukaavah[u] Maerae Gursikhah[u] nihkapat Kamaava[u] Har[i] Kee Har[i] Ghaal Nihaal Nihaal Nihaal!
Removing the lie you kept telling yourself, Oh my Gursikhs!
Earn the Honest Service of Vaheguru and so become Nihaal, Nihaal, Nihaal!
[Dhan Dhan Guru Ramdaas Ji in Raag Nat Naraayan, Ang 977]
