ਤਰੁਨ ਤਾਪ ਤਮ ਹਰਨ ਤਾਤ ਤ੍ਯਾਗੀ ਤੀਰਥਿ ਤਤਿ॥
Tharun Thaap Tham Haran Thaath Thyaagee Theerathh[i] Thath[i]
You destroy the tamoguni mental inflictions of youth
(mind is most susceptible to vikaars at this age)
The Suffering of the ascetics, suffering at places of pilgrimage (teeraths)
ਤਿਮਰ ਤਪਤ ਤਿਖ ਟਰਨ ਤੋਖ ਤਪੀਅਨ ਅੰਤਰ ਗਤਿ॥
Thimar Thapath Thikh Taran Thokh Thapeean A[n]thar Gath[i]
Removing the Illness of spiritual darkness/ignorance & thirst for desires
Satisfying the spiritual practitioners by bringing them into an inward-facing spiritual state
ਜੰਤ੍ਰੁ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੁ ਮਹਿ ਆਪ ਆਪ ਤੋਸਾ ਤਕਿਯਾ ਛਿਤਿ॥
Ja[n]thr Ma[n]thr Mah[i] Aap Aap Thosaa Thakiyaa Chhithh[i]
You are within the chants, spiritual aids...
You are the support of the earth and the treasuries
ਤਟ ਤੀਰਥਿ ਤਿਟਕਾਟ ਆਪ ਆਪੇ ਤਪਸੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਤਿ॥
That Theerathh[i] Thitkaat Aaap Aapae Thapsee Brith[i]
You are the river-banks of the pilgrimage places and the condemners of them...
You are the thoughts and feelings of the spiritual practitioners
ਤਾਪ ਨਿਵਾਰਨ ਤਮ ਹਰਨ ਅਘ ਨਾਸਨ ਅਮਿਤੋਜ ਗਤਿ ॥
Thaap nivaaran Tham Haran Agh naasan Amithoj Gath[i]
Stopping the fevers (mental, body, spiritual),
Destroying the tamogun nature (animalistic/selfish/lazy),
Destroying sins through the Spiritual State of Eternal Radiance
ਤਕੀਆ ਤਾਨ ਨਿਤਾਨ ਮਾਨ ਦਾਇਕ ਛਤ੍ਰੀਨ ਪਤਿ॥੮੭॥
Thakeeaa Thaan nithaan Maan Dhaae[i]k Chhathreen Path[i]
The Support and Strength of the strengthless,
The Bestower of Honour, the Husband/Protector of the Royalty

Immersed in all places and places in-between,
Unmoving, Stable Form of Compassion/Mercy
ਥਕਤ ਥਕਤ ਆਏ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਕਰਿ ਗਹਿ ਲੇਹੁ ਗੁਪਾਲ॥੮੮॥

Having become tired over and over, we have come to You Vaheguru...

Phirath Phirath Bah[u] Bidhh[i] Phirae Phaeree Chukee na Phaer
After wandering & wandering in many different ways (mentally, physically, karmic, etc), the cycle of reincarnation still has not been lifted...
ਫਾਸ ਫਾਸ ਫਾਸੀ ਕਟਕ ਜਿਨਹਿ ਕਹਯੋ ਇਕ ਬੇਰ॥੯੦॥
Phaas Phaas Phaasee Katak Jinah[i] Kahyo Ik Baer
After falling into the traps of misperception over and over, this trap becomes cut
whoever says [praises/qualities of Vaheguru] once.

I fall at Your Feet over and over,
Caring for the Protectors who stand up against our obstacles and tough times

The Immersive Vaheguru is immersed within every Heart,
Within everyone is the Most Merciful Vaheguru

The Beloved Nourisher of the Universe,
The Beloved Compassionate One,
With Beautiful Speech and taking on 100,000s of Forms
ਲਲਿਤ ਰੰਗ ਲਲਿਤਾ ਲਲਾ ਲਾਲ ਖ਼ਿਆਲ ਅਨੂਪ॥੯੩॥
Lalith Ra[n]g Lalithaa Lalaa Laal Khhiaal Anoop
Of Brown/Kasthuree Colour and of Utmost Loving Beauty,
Loving thoughts of the Indescribably Beautiful Vaheguru

ਹਰਿ ਹੀਰਾ ਹਰਿਆਵਲਾ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਕੀਨੋ ਜੰਗ॥
Har[i] Heeraa Hariaavalaa Har[i] Har[i] Keeno Ja[n]g
Vaheguru is the Diamond, Vaheguru is the One who causes us to flourishes,
By repeating Vaheguru’s Names, we are fighting a battle [against vikaars]
ਹਰਨ ਭਰਨ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰੀ ਹੇਮੰਚਲ ਹਰਿ ਮੰਗ॥੯੪॥
Haran Bharan Har[i] Har[i] Haree Haema[n]chal Har[i] Ma[n]g
Destroying and creating... Vaheguru sustains and destroys,
Great mountains like the Himalayas are begging for Vaheguru
or
Vaheguru are The Protector of the Mountains
ਙਿਆਨੀ ਞਤਨ ਬਿਹੀਨ ਙਿਆਤ ਰੂਪ ਅਨੁਭਉ ਸਦਾ॥
Ngiaanee Jyathan Biheen Ngiaath Roop Anbho[u] Sadhaa
The Ignorant are without good spiritual efforts,
Vaheguru is the Form of Knowing and constantly spiritual enlightened
ਰਾਣਾ ਰਾਉ ਪ੍ਰਬੀਨ ਅਚਲ ਅਥਾਹ ਸਦ ਸਰਬਦਾ॥੯੫॥

You are the wisest, most stable Sovereign and Royalty,
The One who can never be limited to one place,

ਆਦਿ ਅੰਤੁ ਜੁਗ ਜੁਗ ਅਟਲ ਸਰਬ ਸੁ ਬ੍ਯਾਪੀ ਦੇਵ॥
Aadh[i] A[n]th[u] Jug Jug Atal Sarab Su Byaapee Dhaev
Stable-Form throughout the beginning, end, and throughout the ages,
You are the Divine so beautifully permeating everything/everyone
ਉਤਪਤਿ ਪਰਲਯ ਕਰਨਹਾਰ ਮਾਯਾ ਅਲਖ ਅਭੇਵ ॥੯੬॥
Uthpath[i] Parlay Karanhaar Maayaa Alakh Abhaev
Manifesting and causing the end of the Universe
The Sargun-Vaheguru is not separate from the Invisible/Unfathomable (Formless)
ਜਲਿ ਥਲਿ ਮਹੀਅਲਿ ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤੁ ਨਭ ਮੰਡਲ ਪਾਤਾਲ॥
Jal[i] Thhal[i] Maheeal[i] Jeea Ja[n]th nabh Ma[n]dal Paathaal
The Water, Land, Skies, within every creature, space, and nether regions
ਸ੍ਵਰਗ ਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਚਉਦਹ ਭਵਨ ਬਿਧਨਾ ਸ੍ਵਾਮਿ ਗੁਪਾਲ॥੯੭॥
Svarag Mrith[u] Cho[u]dhah Bhavan Bidhhnaa Svaam[i] Gupaal
Heavens, Purgatories, 14 realms were [all] created by
the Master & Nourisher of the Universe
ਨਾਮ ਠਾਮ ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਬਿਖੈ ਸਭ ਮਹਿ ਰਮਤ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ॥
naam Ttaam Ghat[i] Ghat[i] Bikhai Sabh Mah[i] Ramath Prakaas
The Home of Naam is within every heart,
Permeating everyone/everywhere through the Form of Consciousness
ਅੱਖਰ ਬਾਨੀ ਸਭ ਤੁਹੀਂ ਸਭ ਮੁਖਿ ਦੇਤਿ ਗਿਰਾਸ॥੯੮॥
Akhar Baanee Sabh Thuhee[n] Sabh Mukh[i] Dhaeth[i] Giraas
All writing and speaking is You,
You put food in everyone’s mouths

Lachhmee Ko Bap[u] Dhhaar Har[i] Maayaa Kar[i] Prakaas[i]
Taking on the Body of Lachhmee (Entire Creation),
Sargun-Vaheguru is providing consciousness
ਹਰਨ ਭਰਨ ਸਭ ਜਗਤ ਕੀ ਸੰਤਨ ਕੀ ਸੁਖ ਰਾਸਿ॥੯੯॥

The Creator and Destroyer of the Entire Universe,
The Complete Peace of the Saints

Reaching The Unmovable Place,
Endless people concentrate on this Form
ਜਗਤਮਾਤ ਅੰਬਿਕਾ ਸੁ ਨਿਤ੍ਯ ਨੇਮੁ ਚਾਰਿਯੈ॥
Jagath-maath A[n]mbikaa Su nithy naem Chaariyai
The Mother of the Mother of the Universe,
Found within the Wonderful Daily Spiritual Routines
ਅਖੰਡ ਖ੍ਯਾਲ ਖੰਡ ਕਾ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ਜਾਪ ਜਾਪਿਯੈ॥
Akha[n]d Khyaal Kha[n]d Kaa Pracha[n]d Jaap Jaapiyai
The Indestructible has a thought of destruction [and so it happens]
So meditate upon this Great Force

Akaal Kaal Kaal Kaa Bia[n]th Thhaap[i] Thhaapiyai
The Immortal Vaheguru destroys their own Sargun Force,
Endless [Forms] are dispatched by Vaheguru [and sent back] in this way
ਜਗਤ੍ਰ ਮਾਤ ਜਾਲਪਾ ਸੁ ਨਿਤ੍ਯ ਪ੍ਰਤਿ ਗਾਇਯੈ॥
Jagathr Maath Jaalpaa Su nithy Prath[i] Gaae[i]yai
Singing about the Mother of the Universe,
So we should sing daily about Sargun-Vaheguru
ਅਖੰਡ ਚੰਡ ਚੰਡਿਕਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਤਿ ਉਠ ਧ੍ਯਾਇਯੈ॥
Akha[n]d Cha[n]d Cha[n]dikaa Prabhaath[i] Utt Dhyaaeiyai
The Indestructible Fierceness behind the Forms of Fierceness,
We should wake up early before the sunrise and remember this Vaheguru
ਸੁ ਅਸ਼ਟਬਾਹੁ ਈਸੁਰੀ ਕਲ੍ਯਾਨ ਰੂਪ ਪੇਖਿਯੈ॥
Su Ashtbaah[u] Eesuree Kalyaan Roop Paekhiyai
Taking on Forms with 8 Arms, Master-Goddess,
We can see the Form of Bliss/Liberation behind this
ਚਤੁਰਭੁਜਾ ਸਿੰਘਾਸਨੀ ਅਨੰਤ ਕੈ ਬਿਸੇਖਿਯੈ॥੧੦੧॥
Chathurbhujaa Si[n]ghaasnee Ana[n]th Kai Bisaekhiai
Takingthe forms with 4 arms & the ones that ride the Lion...
Taking on endless various forms
ਜਗਤਮਾਤ ਲੱਛਮੀ ਚਰੰਨ ਚਿੱਤ ਲਾਇਯੈ॥
Jagath-maath Lachhmee Chara[n]n Chith Laae[i]ai
Sargun-Vaheguru is the Mother of the Universe,
Bring our focus to the Lotus-Feet of Maharaj
ਅਨੰਤੁ ਰੂਪ ਮੰਗਲਾ ਬਿਸੇਖ ਕੈ ਮਨਾਇਯੈ॥
Ana[n]th Roop Ma[n]glaa Bisaekh Kai Manaaeiyai
Endless Forms which bring bliss,
They are accepted by many different people
ਜਯੰਤ ਜੈਤੁ ਜੈਕਰੀ ਸੁਧਾਗਤੀ ਬਖਾਨਿਯੈ॥
Jaya[n]th Jaith[u] Jai-karee Sudhhaa-gathee Bakhaaniyai
The Victor wins and is caused to be praised,
After attaining the Immortal Spiritual State
ਕਵਲ ਨੈਨਿ ਕੇਸਰੀ ਸੁ ਜਾਪ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਠਾਨਿਯੈ॥੧੦੨॥
Kaval nain[i] Kaesaree Su Jaap Ma[n]thr Ttaniyai
Taking on forms that include Lotus-Eyes, being of the colour Kesar.
So engrain this Vaheguru in Your Heart by chanting Gur-Mantra
ਅਮਰ ਅਟਲ ਅਗਾਧ ਬੋਧ ਦਯਾਲ ਲਾਲ ਜਾਪਿਯੈ॥
Amar Atal Agaadhh Bodhh Dhayaal Laal Jaapiyai
Immortal, Unmovable, the Knowing the Unreachable...
Let us meditate upon and chant the qualities of the Beloved Compassionate One
ਸੁਸ਼ੀਲ ਸਤ੍ਯ ਧਰਮ ਬ੍ਰਿਤ ਪੇਖ ਪੇਖ ਧ੍ਰਾਪਿਯੈ॥
Susheel Sathya Dhharam Brith Paekh Paekh Dhhraapiyai
The Real One of good nature, spreading Dharam,
By seeing which we become fulfilled
ਅਨਾਸ ਕਾਸ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਕੋ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਨਿੱਤਿਯੰ॥
Anaas Kaas Brahm Ko namaskaar nithiya[ng]
Constantly Bowing down to
The Sparkling/Heavenly Indestructible Brahm-Vaheguru,
ਅਦਾਗ ਅਦੈ੍ਯਾਤਮਾ ਸਦੀਵ ਸਤਯ ਚਿੱਤਿਯੰ॥੧੦੩॥
Adhaag Adhvaiy-Aatmaa Sadheev Sathya Chithiy[ng]
Without any blemish, non-dual Aatmaa, Focussing on the Real Form
ਮੁਰਾਰਿ ਮੰਗਲਾ ਹਰੀ ਬਕਤ੍ਰ ਤੇ ਉਚਾਰਿਯੈ॥
Muraar[i] Ma[n]galaa Haree Bakathr Thae Uchaariyai
The Demon-destroying Bliss-giving Vaheguru,
Speak praises/qualities of [this Vaheguru] from the mouth
ਸੁ ਬਾਸੁਰੀ ਬਿੰਦੇਸ੍ਵਰੀ ਸੁ ਧ੍ਯਾਇ ਪਾਪ ਟਾਰਿਯੈ॥
Su Baasuree Bi[n]dhaesvaree Su Dhyaae[i] Paap Taariyai
Taking on Forms which hold the flute and that act godly [powers]
By focussing on Vaheguru in this way, sins are halted

ਜਯੰਤਿ ਜਾਲ ਜਾਲਪਾ ਰਿਦੈ ਮਝਾਰ ਧਾਰਿਯੈ॥
Jaya[n]th[i] Jvaal Jaalpaa Ridhai Majhaar Dhhaariyai
The Praiser of the Trap of Misperception of Sargun-Vaheguru,
Place this Vaheguru within your Heart
ਬ ਪੁੰਜ ਪਾਪ ਕੋਟ ਕੋਟ ਧ੍ਯਾਇ ਗਾਇ ਜਾਰਿਯੈ॥੧੦੪॥
Ba Pu[n]j Paap Kot Kot Dhyaae[i] Gaae[i] Jaariyai
By singing and focussing upong this Vaheguru,
The entire collection of millions upon millions of sins burn away
ਮੱਛ ਕੱਛ ਨਾਰਸਿੰਘ ਬ੍ਰਾਹ ਰੂਪ ਗਾਇਯੈ॥
Machh Kachh naarsi[n]gh Braah roop Gaae[i]yai
Sing of Vaheguru in the Forms they took on as
Machh, Kachh, Narsingh, Baraah
ਪਰਸੁਰਾਮ ਰਾਮ ਕ੍ਰਿਸਨ ਬਾਵਨਾ ਧ੍ਯਾਇਯੈ॥
Parasuraam Raam Krisan Baavnaaa Dhyaae[i]yai
Also remembering Parasraam, Raam Chandra, Krishna, Baavan among other forms...
ਜਗਨਨਾਥ ਨਿਹਕਲੰਕ ਦੈਵ ਸੰਤ ਨਾਇਯੈ॥
Jagan-naath nih-kala[n]k Dhaiv Sa[n]th naae[i]yai
The Master of this Universe, without any blemishes...
Whose Names are attached to godliness and saints...
ਅਕਾਲ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਸਤਿਨਾਮੁ ਨਾਮਿ ਕੋ ਰਿਝਾਇਯੈ॥੧੦੫॥
Akaal Moorath[i] Sathinaam[u] naam[i] Ko rijhaaeiyai
Whose Form is Eternal (free from death/time) and in description represents all that is True (True is the Name),
Whoever meditates upon these Names become satisfied
ਜਲੰ ਥਲੰ ਗਿਰੰ ਨਭੰ ਸਮਸਤ ਰੂਪ ਜਾਨਿਯੈ॥
Jal[ng] Thhal[ng] Gir[ng] nabh[ng] Samasth Roop Jaaniyai
Creation of Water, Land, Mountains, Sky.... all of manifestation
is Your Form (Sargun)
ਸੁਕੀਟ ਹਸਤਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਣ ਮੇਰ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਸਤ ਮਾਨਿਯੈ ॥
Sukeet Hasth[i] ThriN Maer Braham Sath Maniyai
The mighty ants, elephants, pieces of grass, the seas, etc.
are all powered by Vaheguru’s Consciousness
ਅਨੰਤ ਨਾਮ ਸੰਤ ਕੇ ਬੈਰਾਟ ਕੋ ਪਛਾਨਿਯੈ॥
Ana[n]th naam Baya[n]th Kae Bairaat Ko Pachhaaniyai
The endless names called by the Saints
are to be recognized as part of the Vairaat (a detached ability to see the Entire Universe)
ਜਯੰ ਸਦੈਵ ਕਾਲ ਕਾ ਸੁਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਜਾਪ ਠਾਨਿਯੈ॥੧੦੬॥
Jay[ng] Sadhaiv Kaal Kaa Suma[n]thr Jaap Ttaaniyai
Praising the One who controls all of Time (or the Eternal Destroyer)
Chant and meditate upon that (Gur- or Mool) mantra which brings Vaheguru into Your Heart

Reality is The Self-Illuminating Reality of Vaheguru,
How can we begin to explain this?
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਮਾਯਾ ਜਗਤਾਰਨੀ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਲਾਜ ਨਿਦਾਨ॥੧੦੭॥
Sree Maayaa Jag-Thaarnee Raakhah[u] Laaj nidhaan
Sargun-Vaheguru who is floating the Universe across,
Please keep the honour of the ignorant/separated.
