ਮਧੁਭਾਰ ਛੰਦ ॥ ਤ੍ਵਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
Madhhubhaar Cha[n]dh ; Twaprasaadh[i]
Name of Chhand; [With] Your Kirpa
ਗੁਨ ਗਨ ਉਦਾਰ ॥ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਅਪਾਰ ॥
Gun Gan Oudhaar; Mahimaa Apaar
(Blessing with the Gift of) All Qualities, [Therefore, You] are the Giver/Donor;
([Your] Greatness) is free from a reachable/passable point [we cannot value Your Greatness]
ਆਸਨ¹ ਅਭੰਗ² ॥ ਉਪਮਾ ਅਨੰਗ ॥੮੭॥
Aasan Abha[n]g; Oupmaa Ana[n]g
Whose Seat/Throne is unmoving/stable/unwavering;
[Who is] Praised as Most Beautiful
¹ Aasan meaning: Form, Existence, and Sathisa[n]g
² Ana[n]g = Kaamdev meaning: being the most beautiful
a) Unbreakable Praise (is Yours); An+A[n]g = That which cannot break
b) Ana[n]g also refers to the sky & the power of contemplation
ਅਨਭਉ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ ॥ ਨਿਸ ਦਿਨ ਅਨਾਸ³ ॥
Anbho[u] Prakaas; Nis Dhin Anaas
[You are] the Enlightener,
[making the] Witnessable/Experienceable Spiritual Wisdom/Knowledge [appear]
Day and Night, [You] are free from destruction/perishing
³ Always stable/unchanging, Single Natured
ਆਜਾਨ ਬਾਹੁ⁴ ॥ ਸਾਹਾਨ ਸਾਹੁ ॥੮੮॥
Aajaan Baah[u]; Saahaan Saah[u]
[The One] who takes on the Form of Hukam/Commands;
[You are] the Paatshaah of paatshaahs
⁴ Aazaan = Hukam, a) having arms till their shoulders;
meaning having a handsome form
ਰਾਜਾਨ ਰਾਜ ॥ ਭਾਨਾਨ ਭਾਨ¹॥
Raajaan Raaj; Bhaanaan Bhaan
The King of Kings; The Sun of suns
¹ [The One] who gives Light/Radiance to the sun and the moon
ਦੇਵਾਨ ਦੇਵ ॥ ਉਪਮਾ ਮਹਾਨ ॥੮੯॥
Dhaevaan Dhaev; Oupmaa Mahaan
Even [the well-known] Devte/Angels know [You] to be worthy of worship;
The Greatness who is known as [quite] Great
ਇੰਦ੍ਰਾਨ² ਇੰਦ੍ਰ ॥ ਬਾਲਾਨ ਬਾਲ ॥
Ei[n]dhraan Ei[n]dhr; Baalaan Baal
Indra among Indras; The Highest among the Highest
² Indra = Ashvarajvaan (Possessing Wealth/Master Qualities)
ਰੰਕਾਨ ਰੰਕ³ ॥ ਕਾਲਾਨ ਕਾਲ⁴ ॥੯੦॥
Ra[n]kaan Ra[n]k; Kaalaan Kaal
The Poorest among the poor; Death of death
³ Baalaa = High; Ra[n]k = Poor; [You are] the Subtlest of Destinations
⁴ [The One] who has shown Omnipresence
ਅਨਭੂਤ¹ ਅੰਗ ॥ ਆਭਾ ਅਭੰਗ ॥
Anbhooth A[n]g; Aabhaa Abha[n]g
(Who) does not have an limbs;
[Whose] Glory does not break
¹ or; (Who’s) body is not of (Bhooth = ) [Five] Elements
ਗਤਿ ਮਿਤਿ ਅਪਾਰ² ॥ ਗੁਨ ਗਨ ਉਦਾਰ ॥੯੧॥
Gath[i] Mith[i] Apaar; Gun Gan Oudhaar
The count/measurement is Endless;
(Blessing with the Gift of) All Qualities, [You] are the Giver/Donor;
² or; Spiritual State/Maryada
ਮੁਨਿ ਗਨਿ ਪ੍ਰਨਾਮ ॥ ਨਿਰਭੈ ਨਿਕਾਮ ॥
Mun[i] Gan[i] Pranaam; Nirbhai Nikaam
([You are] the Place/Being) to whom All the Sages (Munees) Namaskaar to;
Free from fear and free from desire
ਅਤਿ ਦੁਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਚੰਡ ॥ ਮਿਤਿ ਗਤਿ ਅਖੰਡ³ ॥੯੨॥
Ath[i] Dhuth[i] Pracha[n]d; Mith[i] Gath[i] Akha[n]d
(Who) has a lot of Radiance/Prakaash and Shine/Tej;
[Your] measurement and count is Endless [no point of end to where you end in weight or distance]
³ or, [Your] Maryada/Spiritual is unbreakable
ਆਲਿਸਯ ਕਰਮ¹ ॥ ਆਦ੍ਰਿਸਯ ਧਰਮ² ॥
Aalisai Karam; Aadhrisai Dhharam
[You are/take] The Action which is Free from Karam/Action
Your Dharam is not visible
¹ From where the state of laziness arises; Las also means to do work; So Alisya means Akrai/without action
² Meaning: Just like You are the form of action-less karam,
You are also above Dharam as well;
ਸਰਬਾ ਭਰਣਾਢਯ³ ॥ ਅਨਡੰਡ ਬਾਢਯ⁴ ॥੯੩॥
Sarbaa BharaNaatdai; Anda[n]d Baadai
Then everyone’s Nourisher/Carer is You;
(Being without Dharam)... [You are] permanently free from punishment
³ or; the Adorner/Wearer of All Jewellry
⁴ Baatdai (Sanskrit origins: Vaatd = A lot, permanent, decent) meaning: who does not have a stick [of punishment] upon Them
