ਭਗਵਤੀ ਛੰਦ ॥ ਤ੍ਵਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਕਥਤੇ ॥

Name of Chhand; With Your Kirpa [This] is being explained
ਕਿ ਆਛਿੱਜ ਦੇਸੈ¹ ॥ ਕਿ ਆਭਿੱਜ ਭੇਸੈ² ॥
Ki Aachhij Dhaesai; Ki Aabhij Bhaesai
Oh [The One] (whose) country/land does not collapse
Oh [The One] whose form is not breakable
¹ Always Unchanging/Stable
² Bhidhy = breaking; or particularly Bhid = breaker of guises/attire/fashion
ਕਿ ਆਗੰਜ ਕਰਮੈ³ ॥ ਕਿ ਆਭੰਜ ਭਰਮੈ⁴ ॥੧੦੩॥
Ki Aaga[n]j Karamai; Ki Aabha[n]j Bharmai
Oh (Whose) Action[s] are free from ending
Oh [The One] who breaks the unbreakable doubts

ਕਿ ਆਭਿੱਜ ਲੋਕੈ⁵ ॥ ਕਿ ਆਦਿੱਤ ਸੋਕੈ ॥
Ki Aabhij Lokai; Ki Aadhith Sokai
Oh Whose People or Realm are/is Unbreakable;
Oh [the One] who dries (destroys) the Sun
⁵ or, who does not drench [Themself] with People/Realm [detached]
ਕਿ ਅਵਧੂਤ ਬਰਨੈ⁶ ॥ ਕਿ ਬਿਭੂਤ ਕਰਨੈ⁷ ॥੧੦੪॥
Ki Avdhhooth Barnai; Ki Bibhooth Karnai
Oh [The One] who is the Pure Colour;
Oh [The One] who is the Cause of Spiritual Powers and Wealth
⁶ [People] refer [to You] as Pure

ਕਿ ਰਾਜੰ¹ ਪ੍ਰਭਾ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਕਿ ਧਰਮੰ ਧੁਜਾ ਹੈਂ ॥

Oh (Vaheguru Themself) is The Form of Radiating Glory;

Oh [The One] who is the Developer of Sansaar/Universe;
Oh [The One] who the Protector of protectors
³ meaning, the Greatest Protector among Everyone;
Or, The Royal-Canopy-having King among royal canopy having kings
Or, the Warrior among warriors
ਕਿ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੰ ਸਰੂਪੈ⁴ ॥ ਕਿ ਅਨਭਉ⁵ ਅਨੂਪੈ ॥੧੦੬॥
Ki Brahm[ng] Saroopai; Ki Anbho[u] Anoopai
Oh [The One] who is Brahm Saroop;
Oh [The One] who is Wonderful Spiritual Wisdom

Oh (who is) from the beginning (and whom has no one above/before)
there is no angel/divine being above [Vaheguru];
Who is without difference between Vaheguru’s Themself

Ki Chithr Biheenai; Ki Aekai Adhheenai
[The One] who is free from having a face/look;
[The One] who is One/Singular (and everyone is) under Vaheguru’s Control
ਕਿ ਰੋਜੀ ਰਜਾਕੈ² ॥ ਰਹੀਮੈ ਰਿਹਾਕੈ³ ॥
Ki Rojee Rajaakai; Raheemai Rihaakai
Oh [The One] who blesses with our daily sustenance [ie rozee rotee]
[The One] who is Compassionate, Always Lively.

Oh [The One] who is Pure and free from blemishes/faults;

Oh [The One] who forgives sins;
Oh [The One] who is the Paatshah of paatshah’s
ਕਿ ਕਾਰਨ ਕੁਨਿੰਦ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਕਿ ਰੋਜੀ ਦਿਹੰਦ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੦੯॥
Ki Kaaran Kuni[n]dh Hai[n]; Ki Rojee Dhiha[n]dh Hai[n]
Oh [The One] who is the Completer of all tasks;
Oh [The One] who is the Giver of Daily Meals
ਕਿ ਰਾਜਕ ਰਹੀਮ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਕਿ ਕਰਮੰ ਕਰੀਮ ਹੈਂ ॥
Ki Raajak Raheem Hai[n]; Ki Karam[ng] Kareem Hai[n]
Oh [The One] who is the Provider of Daily Sustenance/Meals;
Oh [The One] who is the Blesser of those who give blessings to others
ਕਿ ਸਰਬੰ ਕਲੀ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਕਿ ਸਰਬੰ ਦਲੀ¹ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੧੦॥
Ki Sarab[ng] Kalee Hai[n]; Ki Sarab[ng] Dhalee Hai[n]
Oh [The One] who has all of the complete powers;
Oh [The One] who is the Destroyer of all

Oh [The One] who takes on the form of tasks/work/actions within all places

[You are The One] who gives Greatness to Vaheguru’s Lovers
[You are The One] who makes enemies go far away

[You are The One] whose Prakaash/Radiance is the utmost greatest
[You are The One] who is the Permanent Arranger of All

[You are The One] Who has Great and Wonderful Destiny;

ਤ੍ਰਿਭੁਗਤ ਸਰੂਪ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਅਛਿੱਜ ਹੈਂ ਅਛੂਤ ਹੈਂ ॥
Thribhugath Saroop Hai[n]; Achhij Hai[n] Achhooth Hai[n]
[You are The One] who enjoys the 3 Lok (Heavenly, Earth, Hell Realms);
[You are The One] who does not break and is away from reach
ਕਿ ਨਰਕੰ ਪ੍ਰਣਾਸ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਪ੍ਰਿਥੀਉਲ³ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਸ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੩੦॥
Ki narak[ng] PraNaas Hai[n]; Prithheeoul Pravaas Hai[n]
Oh [The One] who is the destroyer of hell;
[You are The One] who pervades on this earth in a good way
³ meaning Omni-present
ਨਿਰੁਕਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਾ ਹੈਂ¹ ॥ ਸਦੈਵੰ ਸਦਾ ਹੈਂ ॥
Nirukath[i] Prabhaa Hai[n]; Sadhaiv[ng] Sadhaa Hai[n]
[You are The One] whose Glory (or Greatess) cannot be explained;
[You are The One] who is Permanently Eternal
¹ Who is particularly Glorious/Radiant/Shining
ਬਿਭੁਗਤਿ ਸਰੂਪ ਹੈਂ² ॥ ਪ੍ਰਜੁਗਤਿ³ ਅਨੂਪ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੩੧॥
Bibhugath[i] Saroop Hai[n]; Prajugath[i] Anoop Hai[n]
[You are The One] who is free from enjoying forms
But [You are The One] who is well merged and thus, who is free from praising
² Vibhugath can be understood as Vibhakah, meaning the taking various different forms
³ Present in All; Complete and not lacking
ਨਿਰੁਕਤਿ ਸਦਾ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਬਿਭੁਗਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਾ ਹੈਂ⁴ ॥
Nirukath[i] Sadhaa Hai[n]; Bibhugath[i] Prabhaa Hai[n]
[You are The One] who is always away from being explainable;
[You are The One] whose Gory is particularly enjoyed (by Saints)
⁴ or, Vibhakah=whose Glory is seen in various different ways
ਅਨਉਕਤਿ ਸਰੂਪ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਪ੍ਰਜੁਗਤਿ ਅਨੂਪ ਹੈਂ⁵ ॥੧੩੨॥
Anoukath[i] Saroop Hai[n]; Prajugath[i] Anoop Hai[n]
[You are The One] whose form is away from explanation;
[You are The One] who is merged within everyone
⁵ Being immersed very well and free from praise (or cannot be praised, praise is not enough to completely describe Vaheguru)
