This is the 4th Doharaa, please see previous sections for relevant context
This word Thoo-hee/Thu-hee (Tuhi/Tuhee) is quite special. It is mentioned in many Shabads. It helps us to declare our relationship with Maharaj. It is You Maharaj... all You and only You. Since we were born, it has all been You Vaheguru. Before we were born, it was only You. After these bodies perish, it will only be You. There is nothing but Vaheguru.
There is one Sakhi where Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib Ji Maharaj were reciting Akaal Ustat and Shaheed Bhai Mani Singh Ji were scribing.
Shaheed Bhai Mani Singh Ji kept scribing. When Kalgidhar Maharaj had stopped they had repeated ਤੁਹੀ 16,000 times. Maharaj had instructed Bhai Mani Singh Ji to keep 16 ਤੁਹੀ 's. They had followed this by saying that any Sikh who reads this ਤੁਹੀ 16 times will get have earned the Jaap of reciting ਤੁਹੀ 16,000 times.
In this same way, the warrior constantly sees weaponry in their life. Everything the warrior witnesses belongs to Vaheguru. Even in the last moment of life, let the Khalsa never turn their mind away from Vaheguru. Maharaj has turned the Battlefield into a Gurdwara. The Khalsa worships Akaal Purakh through the concentration of Shastars.
The following is an excerpt from Pracheen Panth Prakash by Akali Bhai Rattan Singh Bhangoo:
Bakhshai Ba[n]dhae Ko Pa[n]j Theer
[Guru Sahib] blessed Banda with 5 Arrows
Kahayo Sathigur Eih Pa[n]j Hai[n] Beer
Satguru [Ji] said: these 5 are Powerful
Parrai Lorr Jith Val Thuh[i] Aaei
Use it if needed against anyone who comes to you [in attack]
Ein Mai[n] Thae Eik Dhae-ee[n] Chalaae[i]
Among these, fire one of them
PauN Vagai Bah[u] Dhhoorr Oudaae[i]
It will launch strong winds and cause dust to fly up
Dhushman Dhrist A[n]dhh Hue[i] Aae[i]
The enemy’s sight will become blinded
Oulatai Phauj Paun Paltaae[i]
The Fauj will turn around due to the crazy winds
Dhushman Maar Phathae Ja[n]g Paae[i]
Killing the enemy, [you] will attain victory in battle.
Vaheguru, You are in these Arrows.
The Sikh history of Kila-Putna goes back to the Marriage of Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Arjan Dev Sahib Ji. When Guru Maharaj came to Mau Sahib with many Saints (Baba Buddha Ji, Sai Mian Mir, among others) in the Baraath (Groom's loved ones). The Family of Mata Ganga Ji were worried about marrying their daughter to a Saintly being because all of the saints' simplicity. The future in-laws made a condition for Maharaj uproot a stake in the ground while riding horseback. The stake was actually a stump that was deeply embedded into the ground. It seemed they had intended to trick Maharaj. Maharaj had uprooted the entire stump but their horse had unfortunately succumbed to the task.
Vaheguru, You are in this Spear as well.
Vaheguru, You are in the Axe as well.
Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib Ji Maharaj had given Bachan to go to Delhi. Mata Ji was going through deep separation in the thought of leaving Maharaj's Side. Guru Sahib gave Mata Ji 5 Shastars and commanded Mata Ji to worship These Shastars as Maharaj's Form.
Vaheguru, You are in the Thalwaar/Sword as well.
Vaheguru whoever chants Your Name, they get carried across this world-ocean.
Everyone thinks of this world as so greatly but Maharaj says otherwise.
In Sohila Sahib, Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Arjan Dev Sahib Ji Maharaj say:
Eih[u] Sa[n]saar[u] Bikaar[u] Sa[n]sae Mah[i] Thario Brahamgiaanee
This world is suffering & ever-changing, the Brahmgiaani floats across it.
Jisah[i] Jagaae[i] Peeaavai Eih[u] Ras[u] Akathh Kathhaa Thin[i] Jaanee
Whoever is awakened [to the Truth], drinks in the Ras/Love [of Akaal Purakh], They know about the Undescribable Story.
The more Bhagti you do, the more you realize the true nature of the world. Everything is constantly changing: happiness-sadness, wealthy-poor, good-bad, alive-dead, employed-unemployed, healthy-unhealthy, and on and on. This dualistic world is stuck in these cycles of back and forth. It cannot be changed but the perspective of seeing it becomes better. Through Bhagti, everything becomes clear. Maharaj saves us from getting lost in the cycle and acts as the boat to carry us across the ocean.
In this section, we reflect on doing Jaap of Tuhi, doing Jaap of Shastar Names, doing Jaap of GurMantra. Behind all three is the Loving Remembrance of Akaal Purakh. If we don't have this Loving Remembrance, let us beg for it from Maharaj.
