In the 8th Doharaa, we covered the relationship between Vaheguru & Their Creation. Before the Universe, there was just Vaheguru.

We cannot understand something so much greater and beyond our existence and the material universe with our ant-like minds. So we can just say Aadh[i] Sach[u]... that Vaheguru existed before anything existed. Jugaadh[i] Sach[u]... that Vaheguru existed throughout the time between the beginning of existence and now. Hai Bhee Sach[u]... that Vaheguru exist now and Nanak Hosee Bhee Sach[u]... that Vaheguru will continue to exist. We can only understand a linear, chronological model of our existence and so, Guru Sahib teach us that Vaheguru have created the Universe – no matter how we may perceive it.

A timeline showing a linear scientific illustration of how the visible universe came to be..

Mehron Steek (similar definition in Pandit Narayan Singh Steek)

Before anything, You have created the World... this is not something born from a weapon

First, The Leader, Origin, Ultimate
Create, Give Birth to

Savaiya :
Aadh[i] Apaar Alaekh Ana[n]th Akaal Abhaekh A-lakh Anaasaa
The One that was there in the beginning, the one who cannot be passed (unreachable), cannot be written about, endless, not bound to time/death, not bound to a certain look/form, indescribable, indestructible.

From which Shiv-Shakti came to be, Four Sruthees-Vedas... the three qualities of Rajo, Tamo, Sato, and the 3 realms of existence.

Dhious nisaa Sas[i] Soor Kai Dheep Su Srisat[i] Rachee Pa[n]ch Tha-th Prakaasaa
Day and night were created, the lamps (divae) of moon and sun were created, the entire creation was created from the five elements

Enmity increased, fighting between the Sur and Asur happened while Vaheguru - Themselves are sitting and watching the play unfold(Sur = Devtae = Angelic Deities; Asur = Daint/Rakhsha = Demonic Beings)
(Chandi Charithar Ukath[i] Bilaas)

Guru Maharaj explain how the Formless to the seemingly dual: consciousness and nature; which can be further divided into 3 attributes of existence. It is not as simple as the world just spontaneously exists but there is a way of understanding based on Gurbani. Eventually in this world, Maharaj created two opposing forces: Devtae and the Daint.

(Panth Prakash) The Panth literally means the Path/Way... now understood to represent those blessed with Khanday dhee Pahul and part of the Khalsa Fauj

And it was You who created the leaders of religions and the traditions themselves

Mahaan Kosh

To go, path, (specifically) path to attain Paramaatma, Minister/Counsel (sub positions)

Pa[n]thh Chalai Thab Jagath Mai Jab Thum Karah[u] Sahaae[i]
The Panth will develop in this world when You are of help!
(Bachithar Naatak, Autobiography of Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj)
Dhan Satguru Gobind Singh Sahib Ji explain how Akaal Purakh had created this Panth after all of these various beings and prophets failed to properly connect people to Akaal Purakh. Everyone kept following the people instead of Vaheguru. Even reading in Gurbani, we hear Maharaj always referring to themselves in humility. Humility is ultimately the way to Vaheguru. Through Guru Sahib's Teachings, we become one with Akaal Purakh. This Path of Nam Jap and righteousness is what Akaal Purakh created. That is why we hear - Khalsa Kaal Purakh Kee Fauj, Pragatio Khalsa Paramatam Kee Mauj (Khalsa is Vaheguru's Army, The Khalsa came to be due to the Playful Will of Paramatma).

Painting depicting Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib Ji riding on Prasadhi elephant. This elephant was trained well to serve Guru Sahib and could collect arrows. This elephant was among many other things that gained the jealousy of the Rajput Hill Kings around Anandpur Sahib. This elephant caused them to attack Guru Sahib then which they were defeated in battle. This elephant was just an excuse... Vaheguru - Themselves caused for these battles to occur. As it was part of Vaheguru Ji's Hukam... and same with all previous and following battles.

Aap Thuhee Jhagraa Karo

Mehron Steek (Similar definition as

Pandit Narayan Singh Steek)

Then it is You who have them fight amongst them

Mahaan Kosh

Mukadhma = to take a step against (as in to progress an army ahead)

Andhin Aap[i] Aap Sio[u] Larrai
Day and night, fight the battle against yourself
(Bhagat Kabeer Ji in Raag Gourree, Ang 344)

Sure, there are physical battles but what about the battle with ego. Lust, anger, greed, emotional attachment, and the ego - in itself - attack us daily. The person who you are angry towards is the Form of Vaheguru. The things you are greedy for are the Form of Vaheguru. The person whom you love is the Form of Vaheguru. The separate identity that you identify with is also the Form of Vaheguru. So Maharaj, it's You who - ultimately - causes great battles to occur. It is through Your Hukam. We fight this battle between ourselves and others because of Vaheguru's Playful Hukam. We cannot understand but just learn to live within it.
Saadhhoo Sathijug[u] Beethiaa Adhh Seelee Thraethaa Aaeiaa
After the Saintly Satyug had passed, then the less calmer Tretayug came

Nachee Kal Sarosaree Kal naaradh Douroo Vaaeiaa
Darkness danced on the heads of everyone, the clever divisive Naaradh played his instrument (people fought against each other by their very nature)
(Chandi Di Vaar)

In the time we live in, the nature of the world is divisiveness. Everyone's opinions differ from each other. This is why we have wars, political parties, and even different ways of running a household. There will always be this divisiveness and strife so long as Kalyug exists. The nature of existence is to have likes and dislikes.

And then it is You who helps them out

All battles come to an end. Vaheguru - Themselves come and end the battle. They end the argument, they end the ego. Sooner or later, Maharaj comes to the rescue. Whether this life or the next, everyone will be liberated. World War II was a gruesome and long war. People did not think it would end. However, it did come to an end as evident with the Paris Peace treaties. Vaheguru is the Ultimate Support. When your friends and family cannot do anything and the government cannot either then turn yourself to Vaheguru! Vaheguru are the Ones who come to help - in many forms... it is them who end conflict as well as start it. The entire universe is a movie of Theirs!
